Porting a 2100 muffler, I have a muffler with the jungle detention. I have the jungle parts.

I took the plunge again, even though I said I wouldn’t, I lied. I purchased a husky 1100 to rebuild. I just couldn’t let it go. I have a problem.

Update: Well my project 2100 I just installed the engine into the frame. Next rebuild the carb, mod the muffler. Going slow but going forward.

Stopped my 2100 build for a moment to rethink porting the intake plastic cover and the exhaust muffler. I want to add the louvers on the lower front of the muffler and add more intake ports in the plastic cylinder cover.? I setup the porting so it can breathe easier but need to take advantage of the porting so iy can breathe better too. On the intake were the plug goes where the access is for access for the for the case bolt goes im thinking a piece of plastic screen would epoxy in the opening. Plus drill holes in front of the pre screen too. This would allow more free air intake?

Porting is all about the free flow of air. In with the good air and out with the bad air.

So my feeling dog came loose while buried in a large 3ft tree. Ended up bending it some and even with putting it in my vice it isn't perfect. Was looking at getting bigger felling dogs anyways. Which ones should I get?

I've seen these which comes with a full wrap handle.

There’s larger west coast felling dogs on eBay. Big enough to cook hotdogs and marshmallows on? Lol I like them but put on a longer bar. We lose some inches of bar length with the bigger dogs. Checkout chainsaws direct someone had full wrap bars for $29.00 with dogs

Which stock muffler is better improvement wise on my ported 2100? I picked up two brand new 2100 mufflers the front lowered louvered jungle muffler and the upper exhaust right side exit? Chainsaw Jim advised me not to port the muffler so I’m going to try stock mufflers first.

Is a white top 44 a desirable saw? There’s been one on marketplace twice recently for 80 bucks plus a case and goodies but he pulled it down right away. Then it was on again today and gone by the time I got home.

Brand new saw alert!!!!

My son purchased a brand new Husqvarna 390xp for his birthday. Now he has a husky 460 rancher and a husky 570 with the 390. Great assortment.

Love my Husky 266xp so much ,I’m thinking of getting another one. However any thoughts on the 268 XP ? Both saws seem to have identical specs.

The saga continues my son took the new husky 390XP to work on a big tree with a 36” bar. He’s been running the 460 and 570. Well get the report on how they compare. Most of us already know the results but we’ll get it first hand from a newbee.

I noticed that, though the 266 SE doesn't show up on Acres, whereas the 268SE/Sg does. Specs are the same so I suppose its cylinder makeup?
