Don't they make tequila from agave??

The agave dies after flowering and this is where the name 'century plant' comes from. They have to be very mature to flower.

I've got a dozen of so in the yard. I had two very large ones and they both flowered a couple of years ago and promptly died. There are hundreds of small plants on those flower stalks.

Here is a short video of the bee activity on agave. The bees are quite intense.

i clear trees from power lines,, the power company called me to say i missed a tree and it was shorting out the wires above..

I said NFW i just been that area 5 weeks ago all was cleared & checked,,,i went and found this Agave thats flower stem had shot up 7 meters in in 5 weeks into wires above ffs
