I boiled all of the questions I have about racing to 3:
- Are there competitions in my area (Eastern Washington State/North Idaho) if so, how would I know?
- Are there different "classes" (stock, modded, etc) if so, do they vary from comp to comp?
- Is there minimum required safet gear (eg face shield, ear plugs, chaps)?

:newbie:

I am new to this as well. From what I have found is the classes change for one event to the next. But most have similar classes like vintage, stock, and modified, some modified classes are broke up into stock apearing and then a open class. Also broken up in to displacement. Like above 3.8 cubic inches and below 3.8 the local event in my area required chaps and eye protection.

Nothing like a 4 year old thread to get the day started. The OP was last seen on the site 2&1/2years ago but don't be discouraged most of us like saw racing, some like talking to passed members so its all good.
