You folks who already got your deliveries are making me jealous. The FedEx delivery guy has failed to actually find my house on four different trips to attempt delivery this week. I'm resorting to this to help the guy out.

    FedEx.JPG

Kind of hard to understand what the core business attributes of a package delivery company are if actual delivery falls beyond their competency.

Ups isn't any better. They lost a delivery of mine Wednesday. Driver said he had 3 packages for me but could only find one on the truck. 2 hours later he came back with another one. Third package has yet to show up and it's the one that has parts I need to fix a customers mower.

Happy to report that on the 6th try FedEx sent their "fixer", or is that "finder". This guy actually read the instructions I gave, and spotted the big sign I posted at the end of the drive. My package is here. Probably got more miles on it since it arrived in SE PA than the distance from Ohio to here. I assume Fed Ex has these kind of delivery retry efforts factored into their cost structure. Seems they could reduce their rates for everyone if they . . .

Just remembered something my mother taught me . . .

Thanks again - I've added this fine little PS-32 to my existing PS-510 and PS-6100 that should cover all my bases here in my one man - one dog firewood and property maintenance operation.

    P1080110.JPG

Installed the bar and chain, fueled and oiled it and took a short walk to my benchmark log. This was the first start (for me) and the first two cuts.

I will not likely use it for this size cutting, the PS-510 is better suited for this, but I wanted to give it something to get it's teeth into. Saturday we are borrowing a bucket truck for another day of trimming trees at my Church. This little guy will be much more comfortable in the bucket than was my 510.

But wait Jere, there's still room for a 7900! Buddy has all the good ideas when it comes to the multi saw plan.

Thanks guys, but I think I should retire from the Tradin Post for a while till I push several more cord off to it's resting place.

Duane - I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but you have a very handsome pup (no offense if it's a she, then she is very cute)

Nate - Us old farts here in PA saw till the fingers freeze, then switch to splitting, and then for those half dozen or so sub-zero days we get in our winters around here, well, those are the days we benchmark our firewood effectiveness.

Been through the entire thread, You guys are lucky with those prices.
Bars & chains are way more expensive in Europe, even those new saw prices are great.

    Nice inventory Nate! :)

New here guys and wondering what a "mastermind" saw is. I have a dolmar 5100 that i love. I just bought a new 6400 a month ago because i was able to get a great deal on it but i was thinking big bore kit before i even had it. But i was also thinking porting. If you are going to go, go big right? Is mastermind referring to a porting job? Thanks

Might as well close out my several contributions to this thread. As I think I mentioned, I had a specific "need" for a lighter and easier to drop start (in spite of owners manual advice against it, I can't think how any of the advised methods would work in this instance) saw for use by this rank amateur in a bucket. I am happy to say it performed flawlessly, I performed without major flaw, and no accidents.

Might not look that way, but this is me smiling from above the campus:

FWIW, Yes, I do own another jacket, but I don't wear it.

Just ran 2 tank fills through the 5105 today. Never missed a beat and the Carlton chain it came with is not to bad of chain. Heated handles were on and I forget to check but I realized it right away.

I have put a couple tanks through my 5105s in the last couple of days, too. Been ringing (and applying Tordon) to some Locust trees for a guy I work part time for.
He has some big Locusts and I am still liking the Dolmar every time I use it!!:)
