Is this oak

i did the obvious and looked for acorns didn’t see any.. I’m not all that familiar with oak since there are very few around my area.

Looks like Chestnut Oak.

After looking it up I agree swamp chestnut oak glad I have one on my property

It's a member of the White Oak family. My father had one taken down near his garage - about 30" dbh. Sawed up into some nice lumber.
