Is this really a Super 6-10?

So I got what should be a Super 6-10 that needed some work (plug wire, muffler, carb cleanin...) and after getting it back together I took it out to tune and test cut. Wasn't the animal I thought it'd be. Honestly, the other saw I'm working on (a 10-10) feels just as strong, so I'm wondering if there's some way to identify this without taking it apart.

Maybe it's a 54cc 10 series with a "Super 6-10" hat? Could also just be it needs some more work. Compression is at 120 (assuming the gauge is accurate) - not amazing, but not terrible. 10-10 is about the same. From what I've seen though, it seems legit from the outside...

Unfortunately, the only marking on it is what's stamped into the bottom of the case, the metal tag in the carb box is gone. Have yet to pull the magneto and check the points.

    Thanks!!

It looks suspiciously like my 2? 3?-10, so I'd say it's a different cover.

Yeah that's what I'm wondering - hard to tell sometimes between models as some of them look so similar. Nice for parts interchangeability, but make stuff like this a pain.

Will have to dig through IPLs and see if I can find anything unique

Do all supers have a decomp? From what I'm seeing from pictures and IPLs they should, and this one does not... :nofunny:

The other thing I was thinking... the 6-10 has a bigger bore to get the extra CCs - I should be able to measure across the bore via the sparkplug hole, vs say a 10-10, and see that difference. Yes?

Want to get my ducks in a row before I contest this purchase hehe

Its 54cc 2 or 3-10 could be anything really but it's an older 54cc block
