words of ignorance, come on out, I'll find ya some nice fat Doug Fir and see how well yer saw cuts it.
but you break it up, or hit anything important with it... I might have to find a broken choker cable Cut some last winter that averaged 200' and 50" on the butt, 10 acres of it, only broke 2
 
If I had live Hickory on my property I wouldn't cut them. The nuts are delicious.

I have two right on the other side of my driveway and the durn squirrels get every nut before they ever even hit the ground. Back when I was young I would have killed the squirrels, but i don't care to kill anything now.
 
More or less what we do. But getting the nut out with no shell particles is tedious. And it is not much fun to bite into shell pieces.
