Jonsered 2041

First off, it’s been years since I’ve been on AS, so hello to all the new faces. I have a Jonsered 2041 in the shop right now that holds some sentimental value to the owners. In that light, I’m trying to keep costs down on the “restoration” but that is proving hard as some of the parts are few and far in between. One in particular is the starter cover. The original is absolutely roached. Are there any other Jonny models that share the same cover? I can find a few nice ones but they’re coming in at about $65 and up shipped.

Starter cover is the same as on the 2045 and 2050. In fact the whole starter assembly (and most of the rest of the saw) is exactly the same for all three models.
