I am working on a Jonsered 2255 I used to own, I sold it to a friend, a couple years later he replaced the Oiler and now it has no compression. Piston looks good thru the exhaust port. Time to take the top end off? Is it worth it?

The piston ring is stuck in the ring groove.
I have seen 5 or 6 of these 455/ 2255 that this has happened to. I dont know why this happens so often on this model.
Order a new ring and the 2 seals for the bottom end and clean the ring grove with the old ring.
Parts are going to be around $25 and count on at least a few hours of labor.
