Pretty decent 490 from 1985. This saw ran when I found it but had a crack in the impulse tube and some carbon scoring on the piston. The cylinder cleaned up nicely and it now has a new aftermarket piston and ring.

New fuel line, filter, carb kit, impulse tube, intake boot, drive rim, gaskets, plug. Nice uncut muffler with no dents, nice chain brake and plastics. Some paint missing on the bottom from riding around in a truck, and a few other scratches, but overall very nice saw. Compression is 170. Tested and tuned with 1/2 tank of 40:1 Trufuel. If you need a bar and chain I may have something.

$250.00 shipped UPS, lower 48 states. Please start a conversation if interested.

I hear ya Jughead. Try feeding a .475 Wildey Magnum habit... Ugh!
Nice 490, mine is about the same vintage. They're good little saws.

What piston did you put in it?

Heck, at least ya can find 300 win mag! Find a box of .475 Wildey and it's nearly as much as I pay for mortgage each month! Well, not really lol but it's bad.

The two springs sit in slots behind the shoes. Kind of different, but it works well.

It came from LRB, windowed piston just like the OEM version. Quality and finished looked really good.
