    Hi everyone,

Just picked up a 241C for $100 around the corner. Seemed like a decent deal - started right up and did a test cut well. I have 2 Husqvarna's and this is my first Stihl - anything I should know about it?

Great saw... doesn’t hold much fuel or oil for a pro saw but handles great!
    $100 is a stihl !

Those saws are trash. I will send you my address so I can dispose of this junk for you. Really good score, and I thought I got a good deal last week on a MS 250 for $50.00.

That's a great saw! You're gonna love it, especially considering what you paid for it.

Nothing special to know about the 241. Great cutting saw. i think I'd have the serial # checked just to be sure it's not hot unless you felt comfortable with the seller.

Thanks for the replies. Pretty sure it is not stolen. Nice enough guy in a decent area. Was just cleaning out his garage and sheds (and it showed - stuff everywhere) as he was moving. I will check with the local stihl dealer and ask if has had any inquiries

Very nice saw. Very nice score. You suck. Have you checked the piston? Also is it m-tronic?

You suck. I like mine. It doesn't need anything, just use it.

Know that it may be stolen for that price.

I don't believe that it's fair to say it could be stolen because it was a great deal. Not everyone prices their garden tools at 75% of new if it's a stihl. I honestly believe that's a realistic price for a used small c.c pro saw. Just because it's a stihl pro saw don't mean it's always going to be worth gold. To a reg Joe it's a garden tool that he had and used or not used for years so it likely didn't owe him anything

He's implying that $100 is not a realistic price for a 241. If the OP got the saw for $100 and he is fine with it, then he got a great deal

Thank you, it is fair to say that it could be! I didn't say it was just could be. Apparently I'm not the only one to think that. I paid a lot more for mine.

Over the years, I've scored some very good deals on items I came across. Not everything is stolen. Some just want / need the money more so than the item they have up for sale.

Yes, it could be hot. And yes, it could be not. :drinkingcoffee:

For that price one does tend to at least consider the possibility right?
