Now keep in mind I have a general phobia against buying anything new (except undapants) so current Gibson prices are technically irrelevant, but lower current production prices with good wood, would make the used market affordable again... i.e. the previously hated norlin era les pauls could be had for a song 20 years ago, now they are worth more than any car I've ever driven... (which notably doesn't mean much)

On the subject of Gibson though it seems that the new CEO gets it and is possibly turning gibson around, starting with axing management rather then skilled workers, and sticking to the tried and true vs going with new fangled garbage (robo tuners bleck) maybe after 50 plus years of Les Paul perfecting his guitar, it should maybe be left alone...

Anyway, sometimes new tech is just that new not really better, just new, cough tethering cough...
