Few pics above if that helps narrow it down
Must admit I like the 026, sounds like my 066 which is just to big for the above work.
A lot of that brush to tag off at the base.
Could always go 2 more saws

While a 50cc saw is bigger than what you'd need for that job, it's a really versatile, useful saw class that I think you'd get a lot of use out of. All other things being equal, I'd go 261 for a 50cc saw because it's a bit lighter, and I prefer to save any ounces or pounds whenever I can.

That said, if I was going to remove those bushes and brush, I'd probably be doing most of it with my power pole pruner because working upright and standing is considerably easier on the back.

Thought the 026/260 was lighter than the 261?
Is it worth holding out for the pro model?

The "v2" 261 is 10.8 pounds according to Stihl's website. The 026/260 might be a few ounces lighter, but I'm not sure.

Whether a pro saw is "worth it" is pretty subjective to a lot of us. Truth be told there's a lot of good saws out there in the 50cc range that will cut lots of wood and do the jobs you ask of them. I can't honestly tell you that a 260 or 261 is the only saw for you when a 271 or 291, for example, would cut the same wood reasonably well, as would any number of offerings from Husky or Echo, just to name a few. All that said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting the "pro" saw, and going for it.

A "pro" saw will be somewhat easier to work on or rebuild if you ever need to do so, the magnesium case should prove tougher than any of the polymer designs, and pro saws tend to be lighter and commonly are more powerful, too. If you've got a lot of cutting to do, then you'll probably appreciate having the pro saw, but it's not the only an absolute "must."

Personally, I bought pro saws. :D

A lot of them seem to have a chain tensioner that is unusual to me, my 066 has the 2 nuts.
Are these new tensioner’s good?

Mine have the side-mounted, traditional, single screw-type tensioner. I'm not aware of those being a weak point.

Those toolless tensioners might be a different story - I haven't messed with them.

Nice 026 has made its way to me
Compression is amazing and piston bore look like new
Missing a rubber/spacer mount but I heard this is normal for an 026
Getting a 15” bar and chain as the 20” is a bit to big
Thanks all
