Hi All, I'm new to this group. I wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion or ever had this issue before.
Log splitter 9hp BS motor, 25ton Hydraulic Cylinder on the machine(The brand isn't known). As we were using it the oil started gushing from the piston area close to the cylinder. We removed cylinder took to shop and seals have all been replaced. $200(They were in bad shape per repairmen). Reinstalled cylinder, teflon tape on all fitings and 1 Hour into use the same leakage happened again. WHAT gives, why in the world is this happening. Anyone know of a solution to this issue?

Photos of chromed end of piston rod would be helpful.
Maybe the new seal was damaged during install? installed incorrectly? wrong seal? gland worn? rod worn?

How old is splitter? Scratch on the rod maybe? Sorry Im not much help. If you can post pictures you should.
I tried to send you a PM, but it won't let me. Send me one when you get a chance.
