Hi Folks,

A few years ago I put in 6 Leyland Cypresses in the back yard before I was educated on all the diseases they are receptive to. They still look great but I need to finish off the east side of the backyard which spans about 60 feet and I'm looking for alternatives that not only are low risks for disease and fast growing but at least look similar to Leylands. There's a crape mertle between them at the corner so I'm hoping I can keep the illusion of the same wall if I can find something that looks similar

I was hoping for Green Giants but they apparently are zones 5-7 and I'm in zone 8. Could I get away with planting these if I took really good care of them until they were established or is the heat too much for them?

Or does anyone know if any alternatives that fit my criteria?
