I am looking for anyone getting rid of firewood for my woodburner.
Anywhere around the Pittsburgh PA Area or also anywhere East of the City.
Please email me at [email protected] or at [email protected]
I can come pick it up anytime! Or any advice on how to get free firewood in Pennsylvania!

Thanks!

Shannon

Contact your local county's bureau of parks, same for the city. Find out what they do with the trees they cut.

Ask some local tree guys too. If they have to pay to get rid of their 'waste' you may be able to score some free wood.

Its been a bit harder to do this year since so many people are looking. 'Free' is a funny word. I don't pay for my firewood, but it certainly isn't 'free'. :)

Thanks

Thanks for the info.

I am actually inquiring for my fiance, he has a woodburner and has been trying to locate some free firewood. And I know what you mean by it not being free, I helped him one day and its not fun.

We also heard that you can get some sort of permit in PA to cut down a couple of trees per year. So that may be another option for us, we just have to find out how to get the permit.

Thanks again for the reply.
