Hi there my uncle gave me one of the last chain saw my grand father used a while ago (he passed away too)
id like to fix it just because it is his last saw.
it is a 1960 ZIP.

missing:
the starter assembly
bad cylinder, spark plug thread all gone. I know the 82cc cylinder is found on many other type of Homelite saws in
that era
ZIP
WIZ
5-20
and so on...
there is a guy on ebay who sells a 69720 and look very similar but cant tell with just the p/n

anyone with spare parts ? i found some on ebay they seems to be cheap too...
thanks.

is it in working order ? id be ashamed to take apart a working one to fix a non working one....let me know thanks

i dont have p/n or catalogue of parts for this ZIP saw, but my EZ is very very similar....cant tell

i need
-cylinder
-rings and/or piston with rings
ultimately starter assembly recoil with pull rope and all the crap to start it up.
i am still waiting a bit for the one for sale on ebay...considering i can have a complete saw for about 45$+ sh i am a bit reluctant to pay 45$ for just the starter itself....
i am not cheap but....i dont want to make a showroom rebuild, i just want to make it run.

thanks.

found out the cylinder is a 56403.

The piston measures exactly 2.0000 inches.
The rings are 0.060" thick. so its not the "thick" ones.

anyone with a good cylinder ? mine has the chrome peeling off inside. :(
and it is melted on the top doh.
