Well be glad its not an A.

Now I remember reading somewhere the sp80 had a different piston. Does anyone know if the new 81 850 and on piston works? I presume it does but presumption is the root of all F ups lol
You are correct on the sp80 piston being different. Its a part # 87791.....however it is or has also been superseded with the B piston which is 92519. This information is from my dealings with bob johnson over the years and his bible mac books. I do not question it.

North East Tennessee Saturday MAC Report

No report last Saturday. Both Brian and I were under the weather and thus no MAC action. I got a new computer today so I can now read the bottom half of each page. Cute little thing about the size of a disk drive. Hopefully I can transfer my pictures and MAC documents over to it.

We had our first snow this week so I expect wood will start moving a little quicker off the lot and Brian and I can get back to cutting.

Be safe.

Ron

This spike I made for a 7-10 it sits on the ground just nicely but also vinny showed how good it went on his 81 so its going to live here now.

I have the pattern and a jig made for it now so if anyone is after one I could work something out. Its about 12 US bucks to ship from the bottom of the world.

All it needs now is a full wrap and a new chain. Not sure about the DIY boot pad yet but its still there at this stage

I think the boot pad/ hand protector looks good with the custom spike , definitely says "I'm a work saw!".

McCulloch 690, the 600 Series version of the cut off saw.

I have a couple versions of the 795, the 690, and a 390 based on the 300 Series saws. I still need a 10 Series and the Mini Mac versions to round things out.

For what it's worth, Bob Johnson has (had anyway) a large supply of those oversize wrap handles for the 690 saws.
