I really don`t know John, I had more than a few members come up with differing fixes, most were either an app change , emptying their history caches or changing servers. A few posted on this thread and I never got a solid answer from the site administrators if it had anything to do with site software.
AS DNS (domain name server) issues confusing various ISP networks, wireless carriers, and routers..., and ultimately the customers on the affected networks. During and after the recent downtime period, AS didn't even exist for a large number of networks both domestically and globally. Bad or non-existent DNS records.
I used to be the technical operations manager of an ISP in a previous life (if you can believe that, LOL) and still have a few basic trouble shooting skills in my hip pocket. My problem these days is remembering where I put my pants.
