MEP-002a Military Diesel Generators 5kW. Making space for other toys in the garage.
Bought these two units about 5 years back, thought I would use them more than I did, in fact I never used them.
These are military grade generators in the true sense of the word. They are overbuilt, simple, reliable, and designed to keep running indefinitely, provided they are serviced, under extremes in conditions, weather, and circumstances. They are made to run around-the-clock at or above their rated output (I think officially they are underrated by around 20%). Not for the faint of heart or those unfamiliar with electrical.
They are heavy (1000lbs+), robust units, not easily stolen
They are air-cooled, with no liquid cooling circulation or radiators to worry about.
They can operate in 3 phase or Single phase at the turn of a switch.
They have a 120v convenience port/outlet
They consume about 0.5 gallons of diesel per hour under full load (7 gallon tank).
Great for a cabin or stationary out of the way power.
It is possible to run them in parallel but I don't know much about that.

Batteries and fluids, are included
- ALL filters have been cleaned or changed with new production units, fuel, oil, air, screens.
- Oil system has been flushed, followed by an oil and filter change.
- Fuel lines and filters have been flushed/cleaned or replaced.
- Units have been tested up to 1800w through the convenience port
- Will include the Technical Manuals
Not sure what exactly to sell these for. The link above seems a little high. Probably $1200. For $1500 I will throw in a used Acoustic Suppression Kit
Pick up near Erie PA not far from the intersection of I-79/I-90
