I'm a FS employee currently and as long as the muffler is stock, we're good to go here. I used to be a state employee and they were really strict- no modifications of any kind allowed.
When I worked as a contractor- the state inspectors would take the mufflers off our saws looking for modified exhaust ports. The federal inspectors would just look to see if the mufflers were chopped up.
A ported saw that works for a living?
Say it ain't so?
Even self admitted Ported Saw Polishers sometimes put their MMWS to good use between cleanings with air guns, Honda Polish and Q-tips- lol!
