More people are involved in accidents in F150's than in Pinto's, but that does not make the F150 the most dangerous vehicle

More kids die in back yards than in abandoned mines in the US, but that doesnt mean the backyard is a more dangerous place for kids

Pitts can be wonderful dogs, I get that people love them, but they have a long, well documented history of maiming and killing people, and its more than just how they were raised. Its part of there DNA.

You are wrong what's in a pits DNA is to fight the aggression toward humans has been bred out of then .For reasons due to ass holes who chose to fight them ffpr them not to bite their handler. The problem with pit pulls is its a very mis understood breed of dog. I've had many breeds of dogs in my life and hands down a pit is my favorite you won't find a more affectionate breed toward the owner and children if the dog or dogs are raised properly.

    I like all dogs.Some more.
Had various breeds during my life. From German Shepherds to lap dogs.
That being given said, the WORST dog fight I've ever seen,2 labs in a pit blind (duck hunting).
Pit blind for four people wasn't big enough when Boggy (black)and Koko(chocolate )decided it was ON...
That day something snapped inside those two knuckleheads.
After a few minutes back to best of friends. We never figured out what caused it.

Why did you start this post are you getting a dog and have a young kid or just starting **** over nothing? And I know the answer already. It ain't a particular breed really it is the individual dog! I raised them, trained them ,did protection training and rescue work with large aggressive dogs and happen to know a bit about it. You have to look at the parents of the dog and get a puppy and raise it with the kid to be safe! Some Pitbulls are mean as hell some you cant make bite end of story!

Three or 4 lifetimes ago I worked in a veterinarian office as a tech. I can tell you the dog most likely to bite you were chow-chows. We would draw straws to find out who would try to handle them black tongue devils. I don’t worry about pits but I am cautious around chows. I think even Martha Stewart has given up on them.

I didn’t say I was judging any dog by breed. I said everyone has their own opinion and my opinion is I will have a lab.

Fair enough. Everyone has their own opinion about every breed of dog. At one time it was rottys then it was Doberman then it was Shepard s tnow it's pits. It's the media. Then you have to take a look at who and what kind of people have them and why. For example not everyone who flys a rebel flag is a racist redneck neo Nazi white supremicist. Same as I being a pit bull owner is not into dog fighting dog baiting gangs violence or drugs. I have been around all breeds of dogs my whole life and I have never seen a dog with as much heart as a pit bull regardless of what they have been thru. They just wanna be loved and cared for and I having met one that couldn't be rehabilitated into the proper home even after they were fighting dogs by some looser.
