But it sounds like it is just a seized sprocket bearing, just take off the sprocket before getting all worked up.

Newb mistake.. The brake was stuck. Now i have to find the e clip that went flying off across my garage ... The saw really needed cleaning under there after i cut up a bunch of dead rotten soggy wood a couple weeks ago.. Thankyou guys for all your help.. Im looking for a coil replacement for an 028 if you guys know a good place to look.. Im also interested in buying chains for my 028 and 180

Just buy a good used coil off of an 029 or MS290.
