MS 361 parts saw?

I was showing my saw to a neighbor to try and tell what sprocket it has when he pointed out some of the metal parts on the saw are clean and have fresh paint while the rest is grungy and nasty. Is that typical or do you think it is a frankensaw? The pics show the difference in the saw's colors.

For me it seems like normal signs of use. When I look at my MS 361, there also isn`t so much dirt between the case halves.
