Ms 461 cylinder replacement

I recently stripped out my cylinders spark plugs threads. I was wondering if it’s okay to just swap out cylinders without changing my piston and rings. There’s no damage to anything other than the cylinder

I already did a insert and it failed after 9 months give or take, I already have a brand new cylinder I was just wondering if I need to replace the whole top end..

I had the same thing happen to my 046 with the D shaped combustion chamber.
I ended up installing new rings on the piston and a new Meteor cylinder.
