I just bought a Stihl MS 880 and was looking for some ideas for a storage case for the thing since no one makes anything of the such for that saw. I like to keep my equipment protected as much as I can and if I was cutting wood and a rain came up I’d just have to wrap myself around the thing to keep it dry!!!!

I would buy a rubbermaid storage container of suitable size and just cut a slot where the bar will go through.
Some of them are made of pretty tough material.

If you can still find them, Rubbermaid used to make a storage tote called the "Action Packer". I like them for saw storage, especially when I travel with my saws.

The rain won’t hurt that saw. It will be fine. It’ll be fine in the truck bed on the way back to the shop too. Submerging it would be a different story...

Have you seen how much it rains on the left side of the Cascade range? Nobody packs up and goes home there, and there are plenty of big Stihls running.
