It was pretty rewarding when I finally got the hang of round filing but was also rather frustrating at first . I’m not sure I got the patience to go threw trying to learn a new sharpening process

Yeh when you finally get some good chips coming out the cut it’ll put a smile on your face for sure lol. I’m not going to depend on my square hand filing by any means lol. Unless i get good. Just got a new challenge

You should put an 18" picco bar on it.. File the rakers to .040, and let her rip. Apparently, they put picco on a 500i in europe for fun and said it was amazing fun how fast that saw cut with that setup.

I’m sure piccolo chain would slice and dice amazingly fast since the narrower the kerf the faster the saw, but certainly wouldn’t stand up to commercial cutting, but like you said, it was all in fun.

Requires too much sharpening/resharpening, won`t stand up to the demands of a commercial cut, use .404 instead.
