MS361 Loose Muffler

Hi. I’m a newbie and have a MS361 and the muffler started to rattle. How do I take it apart and secure it? What tools will I need? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Pry the star shaped plugs out with a screwdriver. Then you'll need a torx-27 to tighten or remove the bolts.

Put the plugs back after you tighten it or next time you will be looking for a screw. My 361 seems to regularly need these bolts tighten. I carry extra screws in my tool kit. Never have this problem with my 036Pro or 362. I enjoy my 361 a lot despite this issue.

I have some success with cutting two slots opposite sides of the fastener at right angles to & the length of the thread with
a dremel cut off disc to a depth of 1/16"fill the slots with BLUE locking compound as used on auto brake calipers for locking the fixing fasteners as said refit the star caps
