Ms461 intake ring installation

I'm replacing the cylinder on my 461, I cant remember we're the intake ring sat when I pulled it apart.

Is this correct? Or do I push it further inside the rubber boot?

Iv never worked with the 461 but that how I think it should be

That’s correct. Supports the rubber against the carb flange.
