Muffler mods

I've read a few different comments on muffler mods for the ms 261 cm and they came up with.
1. Cutting 3 Gills in the side of the. muffler.

2. Cut out baffle and open the exit port more.

Which one would be the best to do?

I opened the exit port and cut out the baffle as it looks more stock appearing.
