Here’s one pic I found of my ‘76 c10 converted to a 4x4 with dualies and locking diffs. I made the lift kit. And the massive bumper. It was designed and built by me to bring fuel to the equipment in the future. But a good paying corporate engineering job came along and ruined my dreams. I wish I stayed in the woods I was happy. You have to get the truck up to where the wood is. No carrying it to the truck. Just lift it into the truck. A 350/400 hp small block and a turbo 400 with the extra low first and second gear and a 3,000 stall converter.

It has the 8” tall frame rails and the 11,000 lb Dana rear. If you look closely at the front diff you can see the gusset rib the goes across the bottom so the diff housing can’t flex or bend. I put holes across the gusset.

A 9’ long rack body. Hydra assist power brakes. Six super swamper tires. 72 leaf springs, ten on each side in the front, 16 in the main with 10 in the helper. She rode like a old truck before they had shocks but really smooth when loaded. That’s over 12” of lift. If we look at the front diff you can see the arch on the front springs.

Cutting trees the truck needs to get close to the wood.
