We have an old cedar growing in the front yard (house was built in 1900'). The tree has about a 3 foot diameter and a hole about 8 feet off the ground. There is another type of tree growing from the hole, about 8 inch diameter. Is it okay to cut the smaller tree off or will this kill the cedar? If this should not be done, can I cut the smaller tree way back?
Thanks
