It’s a 42 The info about the bar is the first picture it’s hard to read but it stamped on there

Description
42″ GB Narrow Kerf Lo Pro Bar
  • .370″ Pico x .050″
  • 12mm Slot
  • 137DL
***Bar Stud Spacers are available separately for use with Husqvarna, and Echo***

That’s right that’s why the title is what it is went from 404 to 3/8 and naw we try the 3/8Lp

I'm kicking around different options. I have a 36" for my 661 and looking to go bigger. Thinking of just getting a bigger saw.

Howdy,
This is pretty much the same technology that's used on the Logosol mills. We just took it a couple steps further to work with other mill applications like the Granberg, and a variety of larger saws. The bar slots are 12mm but, they've been elongated. This way a bar stud adapter for say a Husqvarna can be installed, and you'll still have full adjustment available for the chain. When you try this with a bar that has a standard length 12mm slot the chain adjustment is severely limited. The tip on the bar is made to run 3/8 lp which cures a few pitch issues over running a full size 3/8 tip. The other product that makes this possible with larger saws, and also cures the pitch issues like the tip is the large spline 3/8 lp rim. http://leftcoastsupplies.com/product/rim-3-8lp-x7-standard-spline-gbf-gbr7l7/ These are all compatible with any manufacturers lp chain but, we get the best feed back from the Stihl 63PMX. http://leftcoastsupplies.com/product/63pmx-lo-pro-ripping-chain-dl-375-x-050/

Wow, thisnis interesting. I have the same bar but for 3/8 setup. It was actually a .404 bar thst had the tip replaced to run 3/8.

Someone needs to let us knjow how the LP chain holds up. If I ever wear out my bar I'll make the switch. I better get milling.

Hi Gregg, where is the tip made please? Will it fit any other GB bars?

A member by the name of Mtngun milled all the softwood lumber for a fair size barn using an 066 and a 36" bar running LP.
He was running raker angles of up to 9.5º so must have been vibrating quite a bit but it seemed to work out OK.
I'd be interested in seeing how far the chain stretches in harder wood on the 42" bar.

Are you able to drill the tip on this or is it too tight of clearance?Just looks small to me.
