Thanks for those links and nice videos .... That EA5600 looks strong!
I see the weight is the same (5.8 KG) but the Cdn site says 3.9 hp - just occurred to me that perhaps there is some extra pollution control on the North American version which may be siphoning off .2 hp ?

Those factory published HP numbers are just that, lots of saws with lower hp numbers cut faster than saws with higher published numbers.. Just a sales gimmick . Steve

well if they are fudging numbers, a little more consistency between all the various Makita sites (fudged numbers or not) would seem logical, unless there's another explanation. So far we have Makita's European sites saying 4.1 HP and CDN site saying 3.9HP.

I'd help you guys out and see what the Greek site is saying, except, we are the last to know anything. You know what they say, "no money, no honey!" The makita.gr site is still showing old model Makitas with blue color scheme. Doesn't make much sense that a 56cc saw would be rated at the same (3.9HP) as the PS-5105 (50cc).
