Nobody like dry porkchops, he probably should have kept his mouth shut and fed them to the dog under the table while she wasn't looking. I'm sure he already realized that she was a total nut. Some guys like nuts. I bet there was meth involved somewhere in this incident.

    Yup.
My mom made horrible pork chops - shoe leather - but we ate them and kept out opinions to ourselves.. :D

In my generation trichinosis was a real concern. The chops were gray, tough, and cut into very small bites with steak knives.
Wish my dear Mother was alive to cook them that way today. She fed her two boys on 5 dollars a week and we never went to bed hungry. Although God Bless her - she may have...

Oh, yeah, trichinosis - the reason I still cook pork a good long time until there is NO pink in the juice, or meat.
I can't remember the last time I cooked pork chops - 30, 40 years at least. I buy the thick boneless pork ribs, brown them a little, put them in a pan with BBQ sauce, cover and bake @ 300-350 for about an hour and a half until they fall apart. Yummy yummy.

Btw, a weird unrelated side note...
I've been semi-vegetarian, no animal-eating for three years. Just all of a sudden, sick at the sight of a dead animal on a plate.
Until.. I had major surgery in August and a few days after I decided to eat meat for "medicinal" muscle-building protein purposes. Been eating it ever since and that repulsion I had for meat is suddenly gone. Can't explain it, must have had something to do with that 15 cm cyst that was growing in my ovary. o_O ??
Still, the thought of eating chicken nauseates me. Wonder why?

How about the couple that got in a fight during a Yahtzee game and the husband shot the wife.

My wife was repulsed by eggs when she was pregnant with 1st kid. Took about 3-4 months after before she would eat them. I think hardboiled were ok right after tho....

The Pork thing, pink is ok in chops or loins. I think 145 is internal temp for pork now. With hogs being grown in confinements on concrete their whole life, almost eliminated the need to cook a higher temp.

Pork chops have to come of at just the right time, or they are not edible. You only have about a small window between just right and shoe leather!
