Up for sale is a brand new in box Echo 2511t. The saw is now wearing a 1/4” drive sprocket and a brand new modified Stihl 12” mini bar and new 1/4” chain are in the box. The muffler has been altered to bypass the Catalytic converter with a larger exit port, removable deflector and screen. The carburetor has had the limiters removed.

It was my intention to port this saw for personal use, but I’m going on vacation and would rather have the cash.

$575 shipped (Con US) for the best modern trim saw, brand new, never fired. All original packaging, booklet, toolkit, 3/8” bar, chain and sprocket included.

This one is sold. I may scrape cash together and build two when I get back.

What is the advantage of the 1/4" drive/chain?

Better for pruning and less work for the saw. .050 gauge steals a lot of the power out of these saws so going to .043 (in either 1/4” or 3/8lp) provides some power. The stock Echo chain isn’t the greatest in quality anyway. This saw was built for pruning. I would go for 3/8lp .043 for removals.
