Very clean 1997 Husqvarna 55. This saw has a recently redone top end done by a saw shop local to previous owner and has less than 10 tanks through it. Cylinder has the decomp but no ++++++ that I can see. Starts easy and runs strong, oils probably more than it should. I just cut some firewood with it this weekend.

Saw is currently wearing brand new 18" .325 .050 72DL bar and a new drive sprocket. I also have a scabbard and 2 brand new chains for it.

$300 as shown, $250 PHO. You pay shipping. Trades for Stihl considered. Thanks for looking.

Shawn, That's a really nice looking saw for the price (especially as a package). Someone's going to get a really nice deal. GLWS!

I think it is aftermarket, but I'm not an expert. I can get some pics of the cylinder tonight. I was told it was closed port when I bought it but I don't know for sure.

I don't know the entire history of this saw, but it's one of the cleanest examples I've seen. I can say for sure that it's a strong runner, and it's barely broken in.

There have been discussions on here of closed port aftermarket cylinders for the 55. A search for that may help you identify if yours is closed port.
Nice looking saw BTW.

Thanks! This is about the best I could do for pics of the cylinder. Perhaps another expert here can help identify. I see no writing at all on the cylinder.

As you can see, clean on the insides too! Probably the worst blemish on this saw is the (possibly?) aftermarket top end, which is basically new.

i have a chinee top on my 51 (something like $60 shipped :dizzy:) and have at 15-20 tanks through it and seems to run great, maybe not quite the power of the a good oem cylinder but good enough to cut lots of firewood. not tryin to take away from a very nice looking saw. i love these things. quite reliable and well built and lots of parts availability.

The power seems right about where it's supposed to be. It outcuts my 026, but not my 036. It might not have the legendary closed port ++++++ top end, but if that sort of thing is important to you, this saw could be a really nice home for one. And it will cut a lot of firewood for you in the meantime. Took these pics over the weekend. This is the only wood the B&C has ever seen.
