Hello,
I have 2 questions:

1)What is the biggest challenge for a novice climber when climbing a tree with no central leader?

Is it attachment or mobility? Or anything else?

2) What is a second control to secure one's chainsaw?

Thank you for your help

No central leader can make getting around a challenge. I for one hate the trees which offer no good leader to pull stuff away from objects like power lines and roofs. Usually they grow taller and big where you don't want them and at times a speedline is the only option but even it can be sketchy. I have had to go to the very tips many times and cut and chuck because the drop into a speedline would put it in contact with power! No remote tip available or back lead available or too short to help!! Those are the tough trees!!!

Hello,
I have 2 questions:

1)What is the biggest challenge for a novice climber when climbing a tree with no central leader? Yes poor attach makes it tricky but climbing spurs will help here http://www.bartlettman.com/Climbing-Spikes_c_58.html

Is it attachment or mobility? Or anything else?

2) What is a second control to secure one's chainsaw? A lanyard or rope line to belt helps here https://treegear.com.au/products/reecoil-full-reach-chainsaw-lanyard
