We were about to place a big order of chains and bars but no one will answer questions in this forum.

I must've missed the question. In another thread you ask if Woodland pro is a good brand which got answered. Was there something else?

Bars and chains are a bit complicated. Between, bar mounts, pitch (and the fact that there's two sizes of 3/8 pitch), gauge, driver links, cutter type, file size, depth gauge design, and on and on. It definitely takes a while to wrap your head around what it all means and how it applies to each saw. Honestly, I'd suggest you call whichever vendor you're planning on purchasing from and just ask them your questions. I've never called Bailey's, but they should be able to help. The guys at Left Coast Supplies are very knowledgeable as well.

Guys it was meant with a grain of salt. I was seeing if anyone would notice it. I was just checking to see if anyone watched the Bailey forum. Last replies was in 2017.

Yeah there are plenty of worthless people on this site so what. I am sure at one point in your life that there have been a time when you forgot to do a requested favor for your neighbor or did not return a phone call and they thought you were worthless. Yeah just a bunch of people who want to get a motor with a chain attached cut things. But some times it can be fun. Thanks

I see the OP is fairly new to our site so we all can cut him a bit of slack but in the future the OP better choose his wording with more forethought otherwise the membership will come down on him heavy. Just a word of wise to Mr Overkill338, some members of this site and forum may take your words just the way they are posted, (seriously).

Very true. The most helpful and knowlegeable guy at LCS is Gregg. What he doesn't know about saws and chain isn't worth knowing.
When he worked for Bailey he was the most knowlegeable guy there.

The OP is a jacka$$. He is known in the chainsaw forum for starting advice threads, then ignoring everyones advice. Then he gets his panties in a bunch when people call him on it

If this is the case & advice is sought If I am able to advise I guess I'll be thinking hard before commenting nothing worse than someone seeking advice & then on receiving good quality info more or less tells you that you KNOW NOTHING "once bitten twice shy springs to mind"
