It's only recently that I found this arboristsite.

My dad gave me this more than 10 years ago, he bought it off an an old retired Stihl dealer. I was told this so I was older than me, I was born in 1983.

I'm more of an occasional burl and figured wood cutter but this thing starts up every time. Even in the Frozen Minnesota winters . The only aftermarket part that I know of that's on it is the oil cap, the old one leaked. :).

I would like to find a 24 inch bar for it and a few ripping chains, where is the best place to get these?

Are there any modifications I can do to soup this saw up into the 70cc range?

You can put a 77 piston and cylinder on it. You would need 77 cylinder cover. Old 77's are stout can't bog em they just keep chugging.
