Not sure if this is the correct forum.

We took down several southern pine borer beetle infested trees this week and found out the little nasties can bite and it hurts like heck. Everyone on the crew got at least one bite. The beetles were ready to fly when we took the trees down.

Any suggestions on what we can spray infested trees after felling to kill the beetles? We also saw a huge amount of crickets on this property, is there any relationship such as crickets feeding on the beetle that anyone knows about.

If they still have some life a bark application of baseline at least a few weeks ahead of takedowns would do it. Treestuff has it on sale.
