Our hedges and trees are dying. Why?

We are in TX 76017. As usual, summer is always over 95 and it has gone up to 105 but we thought we have watered enough but hedges and trees around the property are turning brown. Do you see any reason besides lack of watering? Or some sort of disease around the region that I didn't know?

Most likely a fungal disorder in the tree, take a close look at the transition zone between live & dead tissue on the twigs. With the hedges first look for rodent girdling around the stumps.

By girdling you mean, tunneling or chewing. Sorry not familiar with the term girdling.
If on the trees it is in fact a fungal disorder, where would it have come from and what should we do to treat them to prevent losing them altogether?
We had our trees trimmed back last year but equipment was sanitized to prevent spreading anything and the trees that had some issues with dead leaves/branches were put off to be addressed last. Just in case they were sick and to avoid the possible spread of fungus if they were in fact infected.

Sorry to ask so many questions I just want to understand and try to keep from losing any more moving forward.

Rodents girdling a tree.

Call your tree care service & ask them what disease they pruned out of your tree last year. Let them know you think it's back, please come take a look.
