that’s it fo me after I find a 650 or 70 or 7000. I get one of those three and I’m not buying anymore unless there pristine. I got 2 5000’s 2 500’s an s55 and the 325 coming and I have another member holding me some jred stuff once I recover from the 325 of course that’s only counting the partner stuff.

So I have bought a Poulan 325 brother to the 5000 from a member and have been reading through the thread is it the exact same saw as the 5000 or is it more like the jred 590 can’t wait to run it and I’m gonna, rare or not my 5000’s have been beat for 20 years and this saw looks taken care of. Haven’t got it yet but Thanks for any insight.

The Poulan Pro 325 is a newer improved version of the 5000+ and is actually the twin of the Partner 5500 that was only sold in Europe far as I can tell.

It is a closed port 46mm piston and cylinder and it has a different fuel tank vent setup, a different choke along with a different ign switch too. I think you will find improved power over your old 5000.

Go ahead and run it, but its still a old saw now, check it all over real well before you do. Make sure the fuel lines are good, carb diaphragms, crank seals also. Give the old saw what it needs and keep it maintained. Pistons and cylinders are about non existent for it so make damn sure you keep it tuned right and slightly rich if need be.

If someone can use this nos 650 cylinder and base gasket.

The last piston come back to P26. Only difference I see in it and other piston I think is P28 is one skirt on the 26 is narrower. The 3 cylinders came back to P29 and or P26. I dont know these saws at all.
The Partner 650 cylinder should bolt right up to P55 P65 650 700 7000. PP114 is a polesaw, Jred 370 cylinder, Poulan 2750 PP295 cylinder and piston. Only stuff I see for my uses is the is the Poulan 335 3450 P+c stuff.

So if some poulan, pioneer, partner folks need something for a restore. I dont do that ebay high price crap some do. I will practically give what I dont want away.

Just picked this up today does it qualify as a partner and can anybody tell me anything about if it qualifies. Came with an extra nos side cover which I thought was pretty cool.

I got mine tore apart and my intake is cracked if any body has one for a p42 pioneer or equivalent I’d b happy camper. I guess I’ll throw a want ad in here to see if I can find one. Thanks. sweet saw rocketnorton

Seems you and I have a difference of opinion of the Partner 400 which really isn't even a Partner saw but is a Electrolux design.

My little partner/pioneer 400 is owned by Electrolux anyway. It’s swedish and a toaster saw.

My partner r40 arrived. Haven’t looked at it yet. The PO said it has stripped holes that hold the pull start on and needs a bar adjuster setup. I’m hoping a few heli coils will repair the pull start. And I can find a bar adjuster setup. If she’s a runner I’m golden. Her cutting time is retired I’ll put her to rest unless she wanted to show off what her 100cc’s can really do. I love big motors.

I try to rescue one saw at a time.
