You should try a 15k OE Phil. Different, but just as fun.How many CC’s?
This could be fun.
Unlimited coil if it doesn’t have one.
359 intake tract and filter
EL42 carb
Stock muffler.
Send it to @huskihl and get him to mod it.

We're in the minority Don.Very good saw. I like the OE a little better than the NE
I believe the 42 is the primer carb. That's probably from ebay. Not a good fit. I haven't used a China muffler but from what I've seen it will probably be decent to mod. It's a 346Xp OE, 46cc with a black unlimited coil.
I was looking at a hollow can AM muffler like the 503862703 or 503862803
Is the Zama C3-EL42 a drop in replacement for the stock unit(if it were present)?
Just like it. I did mine it got to 16k one day breaking in. I would love to keep it there but...Like this? I backed it down from 16200 since it was new then.
It’s an NE though.

Enjoy your last day in chains tomorrow Phil, and the many out of them after.
What rpm is stock on these 15,500? In a built saw I notice the rpm’s don’t drop while cutting they stay up.
What’s the difference between a NE and an OE saw?

14700 for the OE, stock. I believe the NE is 14100 with limited coil. What rpm is stock on these 15,500? In a built saw I notice the rpm’s don’t drop while cutting they stay up.

Why?The 346xp http://www.acresinternet.com/cscc.n...cfb3ee35736aae4688257c97001f8d64?OpenDocument
Fuel ratio? I hope your a tad rich on the oil.
The OE has a lil nastier attitude, a bit simpler, unlimited coil, no bulb, etc. All minor stuff & all can be changed with porting, mods, etc.Why do you like the oe better???
I like the NE also.I like the NE. Not for the purge bulb or coil, just the bore size. So ultimately, an oe saw with the oem big bore on it. Yaaay epa!
