Hello All,

First off, thanks for all of the knowledge I have learned reading through your posts!

I'm working on a saw that use to be my grandpas. It is a Pioneer 1150 s/n 41485 (serial number could have more digits, but kind of messed up toward the end). It also has 1150 on the air filter cover. Piston and cylinder are toast and the crankshaft end is goober'ed from flywheel removal. Looking on line to research parts, the few numbers I can find don't seem to match up, but I'm sure parts or motor could have been swapped over time. Is it an issue of the parts manual I've found is to new, or other parts swapped in? Is there any cross reference that shows what parts swap between saws? It seems the 1130-1160 are close to the same (maybe no auto oilier on some) and the 1200a and 2270 use this cylinder block, but I'm not sure what other parts interchange. Thanks for any help you can provide!

First off it has-
cylinder block 428190
Connecting rod 427664
crankcase 428190

What I found in the Parts manual (Part Num 430255 dated 11-72) for the 1150 says it should have-
Cylinder block 428512
Connecting rod 471336
Crankcase 471602

The cylinder number 428190 is from a 1200A. Looking through the IPL's there doesn't seem to be much if any difference in the cylinders in the 1100, 1150, 1160 1300 etc
The 1160 and 1150 share the PNs you have shown from the 1150 IPl's
Over time PN's may have been changed but I have no bulletins to explain why.

I'm going to send you a private message which will appear in your Inbox, upper right corner of the screen beside your VA farms sign in name.

It looks like someone thought used motor oil was good for 2 stroke mix . I know it isnt but that is the most crap I have seen inside a saw. Explaines the shot bearings and seals . I have serious doubts any of the internals are much good . It did have 135# comp on a oily p/c . But has a good case that I needed .

Edit:
Very dirty but everthing quite good condition. 135psi comp with bar held in vise. Excellent cylinder and zero scoring on piston as checked at exhaust port
Two piece ignition has spark
Rotten fuel in tank and toasted that section of fuel line. Fuel cap fits great no swelling evident
Got her ripped apart for a good washup
More later

I doubt this saw was ran much in its life. Very little carbon deposit in exhaust. Bar plates are pristine and all clutch parts are like new. Btw are these pioneer rim sprockets an available size?
Picked up a carb kit after curling this morning. Tomorrow should see it running.
