You might find the info helpful. also the Vernay check valve is located behind the silver blank in pic #3. Does your 1074 have the old style carb with primer or Tilly with pull choke set up?

A 1074 with a primer instead of a choke is a 1073. At least that is what I found years back when I was working on some of those smaller saws..

Some of my Notes Attachments here you might find interesting read. the Holiday 11 is same as 1072. These changes were made to resolve Hard restart and engineering crews were sent out locally to cut down the old elm trees that were plaqued with disease. The trees were found on local farms and were used as testing grounds for the saws.

That style bar is still easy to find NOS. They were about the last made for Pioneer.

Was just wondering since it was only labeled on one side. Thought maybe it wasn't 'finished' yet. I'm refurbing a coupla bars and interested in the different methods guys are using. Haven't searched much about it yet.

This is a 620S l finish recently. it has many new parts. Thanks to Jeff Member P62 for loaning me the Nos Bar, l must get it back to him.
l have sent Dimensions of Bar stencil to Joe and he is currently working on making availiable this Bar Stencil. should be availiable in near future.

Here is what's left on the original bar that came with my p61 western. You will have to look close lol.View attachment 638267 View attachment 638268

Your bar is painted, they were different from the clear steel bars with Pioneer on just one side. The painted bars have lettering on both sides. There were many different bars made with the Pioneer name on them. I have NOS Pioneer bars still in cardboard sleeves, never been opened. Last ones made had Partner Pioneer on them.
