Yep, Beaver tooth Sureguard chain. Had a full reel of it so made up a loop for the 620, don`t really care how fast it cuts as I don`t cut with it any more. Could make a new loop of .404 Duracut chain for it if I really wanted to use it for cutting.

Nice. Whats the chances of giving a couple of chain Loops a new Postal code Jerry or are you just teasing.
I like to keep my Pioneer chain for my future restore jobs, I have a couple dozen oldies stashed away including IEL and Pioneer saws from the earliest AB up to the 600 series. As it is I have over 300' of chain mounted on my IEL and Pioneer saws so they eat up a lot of chain.

Oh well theirs no harm in asking. Your stash of Saws are impressive as you describe them.

But I have been collecting them up since 1958 so its not that many for all the years I have been fooling with saws. Would only equal out to about 3 saws per year..., its getting more difficult to find NOS Pioneer parts and wear items, I let so much go over the past years.

Pioneer 620 resto , lots new parts went into this Saw. Started it last summer and finish it recently. 610 on cardboard is incorrect.

I have a near mint very early, serial number indicates 113 so either the 13 th or the 113 th 600 off the line but its been sitting over 40 years untouched so it will need a good going over. It will be the last 600 I do up for myself if I can just find the time to get at it and this model of saw usually takes me more than 40 hours to bead blast, sand, prime and paint plus the reassembly. Once I start on one I just have to see it through so its tough finding the time to do one right.

Your bar is painted, they were different from the clear steel bars with Pioneer on just one side. The painted bars have lettering on both sides. There were many different bars made with the Pioneer name on them. I have NOS Pioneer bars still in cardboard sleeves, never been opened. Last ones made had Partner Pioneer on them.

Nice. Whats the chances of giving a couple of chain Loops a new Postal code Jerry or are you just teasing.

was gonna ask same on bars.

There are some real nice looking 600 series saws on this page. That's a beautiful restoration job Brian. Jerry that 620 Super almost looks familiar. Nice to see these saws all have a good home.

It should Jeff, still just like the day you sent it to me, it will never get any hours on it as I have others to run. Seems I like to have one in good condition and maybe restore another just like it and have a third one for a runner. No wonder I have so many old Pioneers..
I know I have said/posted this before but there are a lot of new faces here now. When Jeff sold the 620 Super to me, it was our first transaction, get this guys. Jeff mailed me that saw before I got the money order to him. When I got the saw and seen the shipping date and hour it almost to the minute matched the time I was at the post office sending him the money order. You don`t see that sort of trust very often these days, Jeff is one of the best there is among us.
