I think once I get my 272 running good and a 562XP, I may have to pipe my 670. A piped saw would be a blast to break out once in a while.

Anyone pipe a 670, 266, or 268 and how did it turn out?

Are you sure you have the right link??? That's Seabass with his new Big Bore that Simon built, running last year......

Was joking about MS200 but it and another Stihl
saw is just setting on stage, one is rear handle MS200.

TT

I found this video of a 3120 on a pipe it looks pretty quick,
too bad it got beat by a retired guy and 2 girls at the last race of the season.
It must be the yellow electrical tape, and snowblower starter handle that makes it so fast.

Not to mention that the retired guy pulled his saw twice.

good stuff

I for one, just a pretty newbieish sort am glad this thread resurfaced so that I got a chance to browse through it.. ... and dang if I don't want at least a port job and muffler mod on at least one of my saws now even more..

here is a fun video, the little one is running and old/last yrs. race chain and the big one is running a stihl round filed chain I did.... so you know it's slow.

Oh and just for the record..... two yrs and no new gas tanks on the 3120!

Does that make the four year old chain i ran all year really slow? Darn, Dave is getting a heckuva motor then!

This thread may be five years old, but pipe saws are still fast

NINE YEARS OLD and Piped saw are still FAST!!!!!!!!!

Lets see some 2011 saws!! Here's my run at Tupper Lake this year.....
