What made the drum removal difficult?

I just received this in the mail in case I decide to try and replace my worn drum/sprocket on my 270. Big thanks to @heimannm.
Getting the clutch out of the drum was the difficult part, just stuck in there for years.
That was a good score. Lots of knowledgable people on here willing to help others. The PM parts are scarce.

Was the clutch stuck to the key on the crank?
It makes me nervous tearing into that old clutch...

Good morning. Need some help with the model of this one... Don't say Canadien or PM anywhere.. Just Made in Canada.. Sorry about my English. Cheers

Picked up a PM Canadien 380 today it has spark, needs a complete recoil and muffler. If someone has anything available they would sell it would be appreciated. It's a large recoil, cover is about 4 inches across. Muffler and recoil are the same as Canadien 270.

Sadly, the muffler and recoil are not the same as a 270, not at all. Recoil is larger and the muffler is a completely different design. Wouldn't even come close to bolting up. The recoil can probably be had easier, but the muffler is going to drive you up a wall trying to locate a spare. It will be the same as any 275, 276, 385, 1680, etc.

Last exhaust I found came from Australia.
