I have read that they can be turned into great little saws. I was given one a few days ago with a lightly scored piston. It is in such great shape that I am going to try to save it.

I have no idea to be honest. I have never worked on either of those models.

I assume that may be getting into the realm of costing more to fix than what the saw is worth. Any idea what a good runner in good condition is worth? This is the first one of these little saws I have dealt with.
Have used P+C set and a 295 NOS P+C set.
Have a piston in a saw with a score streak that could be saved. I just dont rebuild these. Not worth my time envolved just to resell for loss.

I know I probably shouldn't, but the saw is in such nice shape, and I kinda like the look of it. Plus I don't have many saws under my belt, so I figure the experience can't hurt.
